Members of well-loved P-Pop groups BGYO and BINI struck a balance between their rising music careers and academics, graduating from senior high school on June 7.
Gelo Rivera, Mikki Claver, and JL Toreliza of BGYO donned their caps and gowns at the Convention Center in San Jose del Monte, Bulacan. Joining them were BINI members Maloi Ricalde and Colet Vergara.
The young artists completed their studies through a blended learning program at the Japan Philippine Institute of Technology in Bulacan, all receiving special citation awards for Arts, Media and Entertainment.
Despite their hectic schedules, both Maloi and Colet expressed their determination to pursue college degrees.
Maloi is drawn towards multimedia arts or fine arts, while Colet eyes careers in dentistry, pharmacy, or the medical field.
Maloi said in an interview that they are inspired to continue their studies despite their hectic schedule.
Following a similar path, Gelo is considering multimedia arts or a business course. JL, on the other hand, leans towards engineering, while Mikki seeks to follow in his brother’s footsteps by taking up architecture or interior design.
BGYO and BINI have become household names in the Philippines, known for their catchy tunes and vibrant performances.
This achievement adds another layer to their stories, showcasing their dedication to both their artistic passions and academic pursuits.
